The Statue of Liberty stands at a total height of 305 feet 1 inch (93 meters) from the ground to the tip of her torch. This measurement includes the statue itself, which is 151 feet 1 inch (46 meters) tall, and its pedestal, which is 154 feet (47 meters) tall.
The statue, a gift from France, was sculpted by Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi and designed with an internal iron framework by Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc and Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel. It was completed in France in 1884, then disassembled and shipped to New York City in 1885, and finally dedicated on October 28, 1886.
