* Atlanta BeltLine Northeast Trail – Segment 2 This expansion provides a safe passage for pedestrians and cyclists under I-85, continuing the growth of Atlanta's paved path system.
* The Center (formerly CNN Center) This downtown landmark is being redeveloped into a mixed-use destination for work, dining, entertainment, and events.
* Illuminarium Atlanta This high-tech venue offers immersive experiences using massive projection screens, motion sensors, and surround sound, transporting visitors to virtual savannahs or outer space.
* World of Coca-Cola The "Icons" exhibit explores the brand's history, and the reimagined "Scent Discovery" exhibit delves into the connection between scent and memories.
* Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Hall of Fame features a new "GAME ON! Exhibit" that uses AI to personalize the visitor's experience.
* Fun Spot America Atlanta The park recently opened its new "Hook & Slice" ride in January 2025.
Upcoming Attractions & Expansions in 2025:
* National Center for Civil and Human Rights Expansion A 28,733-square-foot expansion is underway, which will include an immersive family gallery for children under 12, a gallery dedicated to the Reconstruction Era, and new classrooms and event spaces. The center will be closed for construction between January and August 2025, reopening with two new wings.
* Hotel Phoenix Set to open in summer 2025 within Centennial Yards, this 292-room hotel will feature two food and beverage concepts, a fitness center, and a resort-style pool.
* Georgia Aquarium The aquarium will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025 and will open a new exhibit in May 2025.
* Atlanta History Center In January 2025, the Goizueta Children's Experience will debut, offering a 5,000-square-foot immersive space where children can explore Atlanta through play and storytelling.
* Six Flags Over Georgia The "Georgia Gold Rusher" is set to debut in Spring 2025.
* Wild Adventures Theme Park (Valdosta, GA) An expansion opens in Spring 2025 with new rides including the Horizon Wheel, Wing Swinger, and The Boat Parade, as well as new animal encounters and exhibits.
Additionally, Atlanta is preparing to host major sporting events, including the MLB All-Star Game in 2025 at Truist Park and FIFA World Cup matches in 2026. The Centennial Yards project, a sports and entertainment district in Downtown Atlanta, is also transforming the city center in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
